About this tool

Pick a width in pixels and a colour. The original is centred on the new canvas. A white border is the usual print mat; a dark one helps a pale screenshot sit on a light page.

Questions

What can I open in Add Border?
Add Border accepts HEIC, HEIF, TIF, TIFF. Older video containers such as AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG and 3GP are decoded by the server encoder.
Does Add Border upload my file?
Browser-native formats stay in this tab. Formats the browser cannot write (AVI, WMV, HEVC, AMR and similar) go to our encoder and are deleted after the download.
How large can the file be?
Free: 500 MB and 8 exports a day. Plus (waitlist) raises the daily cap. A pasted public file URL is also accepted.
