About this tool
Set how long the fade in and fade out should last. The file is decoded, the gain is ramped, and the result is encoded in the format you pick. A one-second fade is enough to stop a clip from clicking when it is dropped into a video; longer fades suit music.
Questions
- What can I open in Fade Audio?
- Fade Audio accepts MP4, MOV, WEBM, MKV, M4V, AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG, MPG, 3GP, TS, MTS, M2TS. Older video containers such as AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG and 3GP are decoded by the server encoder.
- Does Fade Audio upload my file?
- Browser-native formats stay in this tab. Formats the browser cannot write (AVI, WMV, HEVC, AMR and similar) go to our encoder and are deleted after the download.
- How large can the file be?
- Free: 500 MB and 8 exports a day. Plus (waitlist) raises the daily cap. A pasted public file URL is also accepted.
