How it works

    Choose a file for Split Audio. It accepts MP4, MOV, WEBM, MKV, M4V, AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG, MPG, 3GP, TS, MTS, M2TS. Most files stay in this tab.

    Set the options on the workbench — preview, crop or timeline when this tool has one — then press Run.

    Download the result. It is also saved in your tray so the next tool can pick it up without another upload.

About this tool

Pick a chunk length. A five-minute file at 30 seconds becomes ten files. Use Join Audio to put pieces back together, or download all as a ZIP. Cuts are at the sample level after decode.

Questions

What can I open in Split Audio?
Split Audio accepts MP4, MOV, WEBM, MKV, M4V, AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG, MPG, 3GP, TS, MTS, M2TS. Older video containers such as AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG and 3GP are decoded by the server encoder.
Does Split Audio upload my file?
Browser-native formats stay in this tab. Formats the browser cannot write (AVI, WMV, HEVC, AMR and similar) go to our encoder and are deleted after the download.
How large can the file be?
Free: 500 MB and 8 exports a day. Plus (waitlist) raises the daily cap. A pasted public file URL is also accepted.
