About this tool

Choose a factor and export. Unlike simply playing faster, this uses a time-stretch algorithm (Signalsmith Stretch) that changes tempo while keeping pitch, so 1.5× speech still sounds like the same person and a slowed-down riff stays in tune. Everything runs in your browser; a ten-minute file takes a few seconds.

What can I open in Change Audio Speed?
Change Audio Speed accepts MP4, MOV, WEBM, MKV, M4V, AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG, MPG, 3GP, TS, MTS, M2TS. Older video containers such as AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG and 3GP are decoded by the server encoder.
Does Change Audio Speed upload my file?
Browser-native formats stay in this tab. Formats the browser cannot write (AVI, WMV, HEVC, AMR and similar) go to our encoder and are deleted after the download.
How large can the file be?
Free: 500 MB and 8 exports a day. Plus (waitlist) raises the daily cap. A pasted public file URL is also accepted.
