Add Text to Video
Burn a caption into the picture: choose position, size and colour, with or without a backing bar.
How it works
- 01
Choose a file for Add Text to Video. It accepts MP4, MOV, WEBM, MKV, M4V, AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG, MPG, 3GP, TS, MTS, M2TS. Most files stay in this tab.
- 02
Set the options on the workbench — preview, crop or timeline when this tool has one — then press Run.
- 03
Download the result. It is also saved in your tray so the next tool can pick it up without another upload.
About this tool
Type the text, pick where it sits and how big it is, and choose a colour. A translucent backing bar keeps it readable over busy footage; turn it off for a plain drop-shadow style. The text is drawn on every frame and the video re-encoded; audio is copied. Keep captions short — a single line works best on phones.
Questions
- What can I open in Add Text to Video?
- Add Text to Video accepts MP4, MOV, WEBM, MKV, M4V, AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG, MPG, 3GP, TS, MTS, M2TS. Older video containers such as AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG and 3GP are decoded by the server encoder.
- Does Add Text to Video upload my file?
- Browser-native formats stay in this tab. Formats the browser cannot write (AVI, WMV, HEVC, AMR and similar) go to our encoder and are deleted after the download.
- How large can the file be?
- Free: 500 MB and 8 exports a day. Plus (waitlist) raises the daily cap. A pasted public file URL is also accepted.
