How it works

About this tool

Choose horizontal to mirror the picture as if seen in a mirror, or vertical to turn it upside down while keeping left and right. Text and logos will read backwards after a horizontal flip — that is expected and often the reason to flip in the first place. Where the container allows it the flip is stored as a transform without touching the video data.

What can I open in Flip Video?
Flip Video accepts MP4, MOV, WEBM, MKV, M4V, AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG, MPG, 3GP, TS, MTS, M2TS. Older video containers such as AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG and 3GP are decoded by the server encoder.
Does Flip Video upload my file?
Browser-native formats stay in this tab. Formats the browser cannot write (AVI, WMV, HEVC, AMR and similar) go to our encoder and are deleted after the download.
How large can the file be?
Free: 500 MB and 8 exports a day. Plus (waitlist) raises the daily cap. A pasted public file URL is also accepted.
