About this tool

Numbers are drawn in a neutral Helvetica at a size that reads on A4 and Letter. Choose plain numbers, "3 / 12" or "Page 3", and where they go. Start at a number other than 1 when the document is a chapter of something larger.

Questions

What can I open in Add Page Numbers to PDF?
Add Page Numbers to PDF accepts PDF. Older video containers such as AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG and 3GP are decoded by the server encoder.
Does Add Page Numbers to PDF upload my file?
Browser-native formats stay in this tab. Formats the browser cannot write (AVI, WMV, HEVC, AMR and similar) go to our encoder and are deleted after the download.
How large can the file be?
Free: 500 MB and 8 exports a day. Plus (waitlist) raises the daily cap. A pasted public file URL is also accepted.
