About this tool

Speech is synthesized in this tab with a formant voice and written to a file you can keep. It is not a cloud actor and it is not eSpeak (GPL). English is the most intelligible; other scripts are spoken as syllables. Use Convert Audio if you need a different container after the download.

What can I open in Text to Speech?
Text to Speech accepts Text to Speech. Older video containers such as AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG and 3GP are decoded by the server encoder.
Does Text to Speech upload my file?
Browser-native formats stay in this tab. Formats the browser cannot write (AVI, WMV, HEVC, AMR and similar) go to our encoder and are deleted after the download.
How large can the file be?
Free: 500 MB and 8 exports a day. Plus (waitlist) raises the daily cap. A pasted public file URL is also accepted.
