About this tool

Images are decoded and redrawn on your device, then encoded in the format you choose. HEIC from iPhones is decoded in the browser first. The quality slider applies to lossy formats; PNG is always lossless. Re-encoding removes EXIF metadata such as location and camera model.

Questions

What can I open in Image Converter?
Image Converter accepts HEIC, HEIF, TIF, TIFF. Older video containers such as AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG and 3GP are decoded by the server encoder.
Does Image Converter upload my file?
Browser-native formats stay in this tab. Formats the browser cannot write (AVI, WMV, HEVC, AMR and similar) go to our encoder and are deleted after the download.
How large can the file be?
Free: 500 MB and 8 exports a day. Plus (waitlist) raises the daily cap. A pasted public file URL is also accepted.
