How it works

  1. 01

Choose a file for Compress Image. It accepts HEIC, HEIF, TIF, TIFF. Most files stay in this tab.

  2. 02

Set the options on the workbench — preview, crop or timeline when this tool has one — then press Run.

  3. 03

Download the result. It is also saved in your tray so the next tool can pick it up without another upload.

About this tool

JPEG and WebP are re-encoded at the quality you choose; 0.7 is usually indistinguishable at normal viewing size and about half the bytes. PNG has no quality setting, so PNG input is saved as lossy WebP, which every modern browser displays. The result line shows how much was saved.

Questions

What can I open in Compress Image?
Compress Image accepts HEIC, HEIF, TIF, TIFF. Older video containers such as AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG and 3GP are decoded by the server encoder.
Does Compress Image upload my file?
Browser-native formats stay in this tab. Formats the browser cannot write (AVI, WMV, HEVC, AMR and similar) go to our encoder and are deleted after the download.
How large can the file be?
Free: 500 MB and 8 exports a day. Plus (waitlist) raises the daily cap. A pasted public file URL is also accepted.
