About this tool

Set the start and end (the cut is capped at 40 seconds, the length iPhones accept as a ringtone). Export M4R for iPhone — it is AAC in an MPEG-4 file with a different extension — or MP3 for Android and everything else. The cut itself is copied without re-encoding when the source allows it; the ringtone container is then encoded.

Questions

What can I open in Make Ringtone?
Make Ringtone accepts MP4, MOV, WEBM, MKV, M4V, AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG, MPG, 3GP, TS, MTS, M2TS. Older video containers such as AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG and 3GP are decoded by the server encoder.
Does Make Ringtone upload my file?
Browser-native formats stay in this tab. Formats the browser cannot write (AVI, WMV, HEVC, AMR and similar) go to our encoder and are deleted after the download.
How large can the file be?
Free: 500 MB and 8 exports a day. Plus (waitlist) raises the daily cap. A pasted public file URL is also accepted.
