Trim Audio
Cut MP3, WAV, M4A or FLAC to a range. No re-encoding, so the output never grows.
How it works
- 01
Choose a file for Trim Audio. It accepts MP4, MOV, WEBM, MKV, M4V, AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG, MPG, 3GP, TS, MTS, M2TS. Most files stay in this tab.
- 02
Set the options on the workbench — preview, crop or timeline when this tool has one — then press Run.
- 03
Download the result. It is also saved in your tray so the next tool can pick it up without another upload.
About this tool
Set start and end in seconds and the tool copies the original frames between them. An MP3 cut lands on a frame boundary (about 26 ms), which is inaudible for speech and music. Because there is no decoding, files of any length work, and the result is always smaller than the source. Drop a video to cut a piece of its soundtrack.
Questions
- What can I open in Trim Audio?
- Trim Audio accepts MP4, MOV, WEBM, MKV, M4V, AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG, MPG, 3GP, TS, MTS, M2TS. Older video containers such as AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG and 3GP are decoded by the server encoder.
- Does Trim Audio upload my file?
- Browser-native formats stay in this tab. Formats the browser cannot write (AVI, WMV, HEVC, AMR and similar) go to our encoder and are deleted after the download.
- How large can the file be?
- Free: 500 MB and 8 exports a day. Plus (waitlist) raises the daily cap. A pasted public file URL is also accepted.
