About this tool
The editor is a studio on a frame-accurate timeline that opens in a dedicated window. Create a named project, drop video, audio and images onto tracks, split and trim clips, overlay titles, shapes and images, set canvas size and background, record camera, microphone or screen, and drop spoken audio onto a track. MP4 stays in this tab — no ten-minute upload before you can cut. AVI, WMV, FLV and MPEG are prepared once with server FFmpeg so they can sit on the timeline. Clip speed, reverse, rotate, flip, crop, blur and fade also run once on FFmpeg, then the file comes back into the project. Free export goes to 1080p. Extra formats (MOV, WebM, MKV, AVI, GIF) convert the local MP4 the same way.
Questions
- What can I open in Video Editor?
- Video Editor accepts MP4, MOV, WEBM, MKV, M4V, AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG, MPG, 3GP, TS, MTS, M2TS. Older video containers such as AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG and 3GP are decoded by the server encoder.
- Does Video Editor upload my file?
- Browser-native formats stay in this tab. Formats the browser cannot write (AVI, WMV, HEVC, AMR and similar) go to our encoder and are deleted after the download.
- How large can the file be?
- Free: 500 MB and 8 exports a day. Plus (waitlist) raises the daily cap. A pasted public file URL is also accepted.
