Stabilize Video
Estimate a 2D camera path, smooth it, and re-encode with a crop to hide the edges.
How it works
- 01
Choose a file for Stabilize Video. It accepts MP4, MOV, WEBM, MKV, M4V, AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG, MPG, 3GP, TS, MTS, M2TS. Most files stay in this tab.
- 02
Set the options on the workbench — preview, crop or timeline when this tool has one — then press Run.
- 03
Download the result. It is also saved in your tray so the next tool can pick it up without another upload.
About this tool
Frames are sampled, a centre patch is matched between them, and the inverse of that motion is applied. Stronger settings crop more of the border. This is translation only — it will not fix rolling shutter, zoom shake or a warping background the way an optical-flow stabilizer would.
Questions
- What can I open in Stabilize Video?
- Stabilize Video accepts MP4, MOV, WEBM, MKV, M4V, AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG, MPG, 3GP, TS, MTS, M2TS. Older video containers such as AVI, WMV, FLV, MPEG and 3GP are decoded by the server encoder.
- Does Stabilize Video upload my file?
- Browser-native formats stay in this tab. Formats the browser cannot write (AVI, WMV, HEVC, AMR and similar) go to our encoder and are deleted after the download.
- How large can the file be?
- Free: 500 MB and 8 exports a day. Plus (waitlist) raises the daily cap. A pasted public file URL is also accepted.
